The Croome and West Warwickshire Hunt Tumblers' Club is both a fund raising activity for The Hunt and a chance to celebrate those hardy souls, whose day is often not complete without an unscheduled encounter with terra firma.
Each member of the field will be provided with a number in which to send details of any tumbles. These texts will be known as Tumble Texts. A Tumble text template is available from the Tumblers Club.
The Tumblers section of this site is updated regularly with the latest standings on the Tumbleometer and a Tumbler's review of each day.
The Tumblers highest accolade will be awarded to the winner of Tumbleometer, in other words the person who had the most number of falls.
There will also be an award for the Most Tremendous Tumble which will be decided by the adjudicating committee.
The Tumblers’ season ends with The Tumblers’ Party where Tumblers are invited for an evening of entertainment and prize giving.
In addition to the proceeds from the Tumblers’ end of season Party, the fundraising comes in the form of fines for tumbling, the fine for a first tumble on any hunting day is £5 and thereafter £1 per subsequent tumble. Fines are reset with each new days hunting.
Please remember to inform the organisers of any tumbles, either by ‘tumble text to 07775 806060 or by email tumblers@cwwfoxhounds.co.uk and send any photos of spectacular falls and tumbles. Successfully capturing these pictures can usually be guaranteed by stealthy positioning, around the various jumps and tricky bits of our hunting country!! Although from bitter experience, tumbling action can usually be seen at The Meet and any point onwards!!
